BATAVIA, Ohio – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series has confirmed a second driver has committed to run for the Eibach Rookie of the Year Title.
Tyler Bruening of Decorah, Iowa, will follow the series with his Skyline Motorsports teammate Shane Clanton, taking on the grueling demands of touring with the Lucas Oil Late Model Series for the first time.
Bruening will battle with Tanner English for the Eibach Rookie of the year title.
Bruening has won several track championships at Independence Speedway and Farley Speedway. The 34-year-old racer will pilot the family owned No. 16 Skyline Motorsports Capital Race Car, powered by a Clements Racing Engine.
“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to run for the Eibach Rookie of the Year title this year,” said Bruening. “Having Shane Clanton as a teammate and following the series will help me greatly as I travel to new tracks. It would be a great honor to win the Eibach Rookie of the Year title competing against the best drivers in the country all season long. Our Skyline Motorsports Team is looking forward to traveling with such a professionally ran series and to be a part of the show week in and week out.”
