No Penalties For Custer Or Reddick After Kansas Scuffle

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – NASCAR officials have declined to penalize NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers Cole Custer and Tyler Reddick for a pit lane scuffle after Saturday’s event at Kansas Speedway.

Custer and Reddick were upset with one another following on-track contact while the two were racing for the lead. The two voiced their displeasure with one another on pit road after the race, leading to the scuffle that also involved members of both crews.

No one involved in the scuffle, including Reddick, Custer or either of their crews, were penalized as a result of the incident. Reddick finished second in the race while Custer crossed the line in 11th.

The only penalty handed down by NASCAR following the weekend at Kansas Speedway was a lug nut. Chris Gayle, crew chief of Erik Jones in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, was fined $10,000 because the No. 20 Toyota had one unsecured lug nut.
