John Force Racing Not Entered For NHRA’s Return Race

CLERMONT, Ind. — There are no John Force Racing teams entered in this weekend’s NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event at Lucas Oil Raceway.

The entry list for the event — the first for NHRA since the COVID-19 pandemic began in mid-March — is without the John Force Racing Funny Cars of team owner John Force and reigning Funny Car champion Robert Hight and the Top Fuel machines wheeled by Brittany Force and Austin Prock.

NBCSports.com broke the news on Monday evening.

When contacted by NBCSports, John Force Racing officials declined to comment.

NHRA officials confirmed in a statement to NBCSports that the team would not be present for this weekend’s event: “The John Force Racing team is not registered for the E3 Spark Plus NHRA Nationals this weekend in Indianapolis. We look forward to their return in the future.”

Team owner John Force is 71 years old and remains drag racing’s most popular racer.
