CONCORD, N.C. – Less than a week after earning his first NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series victory, Sheldon Creed has been selected to start from the pole for Saturday’s race at Texas Motor Speedway.
Creed in the No. 2 GMS Racing Chevrolet, was selected to start from the pole via a random draw. He’ll be joined on the front row by ThorSport Racing driver Grant Enfinger, a winner of two races already this season.
The field was set via a random draw, with positions 1-10 in series owner points drawing for those positions in the starting field. The same was done for positions 11-21 and 22-32, with positions 33-40 being assigned based on order of eligibility.
Championship leader Austin Hill will start third, followed by reigning NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, who is making his final Truck Series start of the season.
Todd Gilliland, Zane Smith, Christian Eckes, Brett Moffitt, Tyler Ankrum and Ben Rhodes will start fifth through 10th, respectively.
