WINCHESTER, Ind. – Winchester Speedway officials announced Friday that the 50th running of the Winchester 400 will have sponsorship from Lucas Oil.
The race, scheduled for Oct. 17, will be known as the Lucas Oil Winchester 400.
“Indiana has an important role in the history of American Motorsports and Winchester Speedway is a big part of that,” said Brandon Bernstein, Director of Partnership Marketing at Lucas Oil Products. “Lucas Oil enjoys being part of racing heritage and that’s why we are proud to be involved in the golden running of the Lucas Oil Winchester 400.”
Lucas Oil has also been named the official oil of Winchester Speedway as well as being the presenting sponsor of the Oct. 30 Sammy Sessions Snowball event for pavement sprint cars and more.
“What Forrest and Charlotte Lucas, and the whole Lucas Oil family, have done for racing in our country is something really special,” said Bob Dillner, Promoter of Winchester Speedway. “To have Lucas Oil involved with one of the crown jewel events in short track racing is truly an honor. I utilize their Injector Cleaner / Cylinder Lubricant all the time and my fuel mileage has increased dramatically because of it in my truck. We hope to be able to spread the word of all the Lucas Oil Products at Winchester Speedway this year.”
The Lucas Oil Winchester 400 will feature several forms of motorsports over the course of the three-day weekend. It begins Oct. 15 with pro late models and the Vores Compact Touring Series. On Oct. 16, the Midwest Modified Tour takes center stage with Street Stocks and Sportsman also in action. The finale, the 50th Lucas Oil Winchester 400 for the ARCA/CRA Super Series super late models, will be held Oct. 17.
