Pollard Cashes In With Pensacola Score

PENSACOLA, Fla. – Bubba Pollard ran down Kaden Honeycutt late in Friday’s 75-lap Southern Super Series event at Five Flags Speedway to register a $15,000 victory.

Pollard started sixth in the feature after finishing second in his heat race. He made his way to second after 35 laps, but found himself two seconds off the pace being set by Honeycutt at the front of the field.

With no caution flags to help him close the gap, Pollard methodically ran Honeycutt down. Pollard made the winning move with 13 laps left and led the rest of the way to claim the victory in the event that was co-sanctioned by Five Flags Speedway’s Blizzard Series.

The victory paid Pollard $5,000, with an additional $10,000 in bonus money also paid out to make his total winner’s share $15,000.

Honeycutt settled for second after leading most of the race. Stephen Nasse was third, followed by Jeremy Pate and Kyle Plott.
