PENSACOLA, Fla. – Bubba Pollard pocketed $15,000 following his victory in round two of the Rowdy Energy Twin 100s Saturday at Five Flags Speedway, which was co-sanctioned by the Southern Super Series and Blizzard Series.
After finishing third in Friday’s first round while driving the late David Rogers No. 11, Pollard returned to his traditional No. 26 super late model for Saturday’s second 100-lap feature. He started Saturday’s feature in 10th following a 12-car invert.
Kyle Plott dominated the early portion of the event, but a mechanical issue sent Plott to the pits after 46 laps. That gave the lead to Jake Garcia, with Pollard in hot pursuit.
Garcia found himself battling lap traffic late in the feature, allowing Pollard to slip to his inside on lap 74 to take the lead. Once out front Pollard led the rest of the distance to collect the checkered flag.
Pollard’s victory was worth $15,000, $5,000 for winning the race and an additional $10,000 in bonus money for his efforts throughout the course of the weekend.
Garcia settled for second, followed by Jeremy Pate, Connor Okrzesik and Casey Roderick.
