ALTAMAHAW, N.C. — Due to the threat of Hurricane Ian growing stronger, Ace Speedway and CARS Tour officials have postponed the CARS Tour Puryear Tank Lines 225 scheduled for Friday night (Sept. 30).
The announcement was made on the Ace Speedway Facebook page on Tuesday morning. The event has been rescheduled for Oct. 7.
“This is not the decision that we wanted to make, however, it is necessary in consideration of all the fans, drivers, teams and our staffs that have to travel great distances to make these races possible,” read the Ace Speedway statement.
The race is one of three remaining on the CARS Tour late model stock schedule.
