SALEM, Ind. – Champion Racing Ass’n Powered by JEGS officials announced Thursday that a loss of sponsorship for the July 3 American Freedom 200 at Jennerstown Speedway has forced the removal of those events from the ARCA/CRA Super Series and JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour schedules.
The reduced revenues made it impossible for CRA to meet its obligations to its staff and racers. The race was set to be a co-sanctioned event also featuring the CARS Super Late Model Tour. The American Freedom 200 will go on as scheduled with the CARS Super Late Model Tour as the headlining series.
“We appreciated being part of this event last year,” said CRA’s R.J. Scott. “It is unfortunate that not enough sponsorship existed to make our continued involvement possible. We wish our friends at the CARS Tour the best of luck. We know it will be a great show.”
