Byron & Almirola Among Gandrud Auto Group 250 Entrants

KAUKAUNA, Wis. – NASCAR Cup Series race winners William Byron and Aric Almirola are among the entrants for the ARCA Midwest Tour Gandrud Auto Group 250 on Aug. 3 at Wisconsin Int’l Raceway.

Almirola, fresh off his victory at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the No. 10 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford, will compete in the event aboard the Wauters Motorsports No. 5 entry. It will be his second ARCA Midwest Tour appearance. He made his lone series start nine years ago at The Milwaukee Mile, also teaming with Wauters Motorsports to finish ninth.

Byron, also a winner in NASCAR Cup Series action this year at Florida’s Homestead-Miami Speedway in the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, will make his debut in the ARCA Midwest Tour driving the No. 6 Hamke Race Cars/Hamner Racing Engines Chevrolet. It will be his first ARCA Midwest Tour start. 

Also joining the ARCA Midwest Tour field Aug. 3 will be NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers Derek Kraus and Johnny Sauter. Ty Majeski, who has made a handful of Truck Series starts this year, is also entered. He is the two-time and defending winner of the Gandrud Auto Group 250.

That group of drivers will be joined by a large contingent of regional and national touring competitors, including defending ARCA Menards Series West champion Jesse Love, ARCA Menards Series East point leader Sammy Smith, Luke Fenhaus, Rich Bickle Jr., Casey Roderick, Carson Kvapil and Dalton Zehr.

The event will be broadcast live by SPEED SPORT TV affiliate Midwest Tour TV.
