Bozell Stops Roahrig For 10 Grand

PLYMOUTH, Ind. — Veteran racer Phil Bozell won Saturday night’s Outlaw Late Model Grand Slam 3 main event at Plymouth Speedway.

Tyler Roahrig worked his way through the field from his 11th place starting position to take the lead during the 75-lap event.  

Roahrig was looking for his third straight victory in the series, but Phil Bozell would keep Roahrig in his sights though.  

With the double-file restarts late in the race, due to various yellow flags, Bozell worked his way around Roahrig and pulled away to win the $10,000 first place money.  

Roahrig hung on to finish second, with Mark Shook, J.R. Roahrig and Steve Needles rounding out the top five.
