MOORESVILLE, N.C. — Team Chevrolet Racing Development driver Gavan Boschele and Rackley/W.A.R. are looking to continue their success in 2024.
At 15 years old, Boschele is quickly stacking up accomplishments on his resume. He is the youngest-ever USCS 360 sprint car winner, this year’s USCS 360 sprint car rookie of the year and the 2022 Tulsa Shootout Stock Non-Wing winner.
This season, he won one of the premier pro late model races in the country — “Governor’s Cup 100” at New Smyrna Speedway — in dominating fashion with a stout field of pro late model drivers.
In addition, he turned heads running his first ever Snowflake event this year, qualifying third for the event only to have his night shortened from contact from a lapped car.
After an impressive year on the pavement, Boschele and Rackley/W.A.R. will look to continue to ride their wave of momentum.
One minor adjustment includes Boschele’s bump up to the Team Chevy Rackley/W.A.R. super late model.
He’ll make his debut in January at Speedfest at Crisp Motorsport Park. The team plans to run nearly all of the super late model races with the ASA STARS National tour, along with several other major super late model events such as The Rattler 250, Speedweeks, the Winchester 400 and the All American 400, to name a few.
Willie Allen, co-owner of Rackley W.A.R. race team, said, “We are really excited to continue working with Gavan for 2024. He’s done an incredible job in the pro late model, celebrating a win in his first season, and continues to be a factor everywhere we go to race. He adapts well and brings great feedback to our organization.
“The plan is to move him up to the super late model l level next year, and the entire team is really pumped for this next big step in his development and career “
When asked about returning with the Rackley/W.A.R. team to run their super late model, Boschele said, “I’m excited to be back with Willie, Curtis, Travis, Mark, Fisher, Scott, Roo and the entire Rackley/W.A.R. team. We had great success from our very first race together in May and, given our limited and short amount of time with both working together and me racing and learning these cars, I really feel like we’ve been a contender to win everywhere we go.
“Obviously, the win at the Governor’s Cup 100 was big for us, especially after two other wins that were unfortunately taken away from us earlier in the year. Willie and the Rackley/W.A.R. team have a great super late model program, and I can’t wait to get started with them at Speedfest.
“I’m sure that there will be a learning curve with the super late model coming from the pro late model, but, as in anything that I race I’m going to work incredibly hard and give this team everything that I have to make sure we’re winning. I’m excited.”
