BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Series schedule of events for next season will feature 10 events at six different tracks.
“We try to mix it up and keep the schedule fresh so it’s not always the same year after year,” said the SRL’s Brian Olsen. “We look forward to the series return to the Redwood Acres (Eureka) three-eighths-mile on Aug. 13, where the average high temperature is in the low 60’s in August. We will once again return to The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for our championship finale on Nov. 19.”
The half-miles of Irwindale Speedway (Feb. 12, May 21 and Sept. 17) and Kern County Raceway (April 2, June 18 and Oct. 22) will make up six of the 10 race dates, with Roseville’s All-American Speedway (March 5) and Stockton 99 (July 16) each hosting one event in 2022.
All SPEARS Southwest Tour Series races will once again be livestreamed on SpearsRacing.TV and then televised nationally on MAVTV at a later date.
The SPEARS Frequent Flyer Program will continue in 2022, with all drivers on the program receiving a minimum of $1,000 to start each event.
“Spears Manufacturing, our entire family of sponsors, our race teams, our staff and our host racetracks are what make the series what it is today, and we are greatly appreciative to everyone who supports the series,” Olsen added. “We look forward to seeing everyone at the season opening “Sunrise Ford All-Star Showdown” at Irwindale Speedway the second weekend in February.”
