Harvick To Run Two SRX Races This Summer

Fresh off announcing this season would be his last in the NASCAR Cup Series, Kevin Harvick is set to compete in the Superstar Racing Experience this summer.

On Tuesday morning, SRX announced via social media that Harvick would contest the season-opener at Connecticut’s Stafford Motor Speedway on July 13.

The 47-year-old will also compete a month later at Michigan’s Berlin Raceway on Aug. 3.

Harvick, the 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion, announced last week that 2023 would be his last season in the series. Harvick also recently expressed an interest to compete in more short-track events when he purchased the CARS Tour racing series alongside Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Burton and Justin Marks.

The SRX will be entering their third season of competition. Last year, IndyCar veteran Marco Andretti scored the championship over NASCAR legends Ryan Newman and Tony Stewart.

Last December, it was announced that the series would move to ESPN on a multi-year deal, resurrecting the iconic “Thursday Night Thunder” branding.

Harvick also won the International Race of Champions title in 2002.
