East Coast Mini Stocks Confirm 10 Races

DARTMOUTH, Nova Scotia – Officials from the Passione Flooring and Interiors East Coast Mini Stock Tour have unveiled its series schedule.

The Maritime based four cylinder touring series will visit six venues throughout the region, starting on the Victoria Day Long Weekend in May and coming to a close on the last weekend in September. In total, ten championship point races will determine the 2022 champion.

The schedule is bookended by appearances at Scotia Speedworld. The run to the championship begins on Saturday, May 21 and will conclude at the three-tenths-mile oval outside Halifax, Nova Scotia on Saturday, Sept. 24. Scotia Speedworld is one of a trio of Nova Scotia tracks on the schedule with Riverside International Speedway and Atlantic Motorsports Park also hosting the Tour.

Riverside International Speedway will welcome the Mini Stock stars on June 11 and Aug. 20 to James River. Nova Scotia’s premier road course will see the Series hit the track on July 9-10. The series has scheduled events at the track located minutes from Shubenacadie in each of the last two years but both have been cancelled by the COVID-19 pandemic.

New Brunswick will host three events between two of its oval tracks. Two of those races will take place at Speedway 660 in Geary, New Brunswick with stops on June 25 and on Sept. 3 during SpeedWeekend. Petty International Raceway in River Glade, New Brunswick will play a key role in the championship chase with the eighth of 10 races on the tour schedule at the high banked oval on Aug. 27.

The Tour has expanded its schedule on Prince Edward Island after a successful debut at Oyster Bed Speedway in 2021. Two trips across the Northumberland Strait are planned, with races at the Oyster Bed Bridge, Prince Edward Island oval on July 2 and July 30.
