JACKSON, Minn. — Thursday’s opener to the 44th annual AGCO Jackson Nationals has been canceled with severe storms invading the area prior to hot laps.
A field of 40 World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series entries was signed in for competition prior to the rain at Jackson Motorplex . The event will not be made up, but the weekend will continue on Friday, Aug. 19 with preliminary action and then the $25,000-to-win finale on Saturday, Aug. 20.
For those with a three-day pit pass, you may bring it to the track tomorrow and receive a refund from Thursday’s rainout. Those with one-day passes will be good to go for Friday’s preliminary show. If you purchased any online general admission tickets, those will automatically be refunded. Any buyers at the box office can mail in their tickets for a refund.
