USAC Midwest Thunder Midgets Set 20-Race Slate

INDIANAPOLIS – Twenty events make up the schedule for the USAC Midwest Thunder Speed2 Midget Series season across the states of Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

The season begins with a pair of non-point special events on Feb. 26-27 indoors at the Southern Illinois Center in DuQuoin.

The first points race of the season arrives at Waverly, Ohio’s Atomic Speedway on April 24, with a subsequent date slated there for July 10.  A to-be-announced location on May 14 follows Atomic’s opener.

U.S. 24 Speedway in Logansport, Ind., is the host for four dates on the calendar on May 29, July 17, Aug. 21 and Sept. 25.

Gas City I-69 Speedway hosts a series-high five events throughout the year, on June 4, June 25, July 30, Aug. 6 and Sept. 3.

Williamsburg, Ohio’s Moler Raceway Park makes its debut on the Midwest Thunder schedule on June 18, as will Jackson (Ohio) County Speedway on July 9 and the all-new Circle City Raceway in Indianapolis, Ind., on both Aug. 20 and Sept. 17.

Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway will host its lone Midwest Thunder event of the year on June 27, as will Peru, Indiana’s Circus City Speedway on July 31.
