SANTA MARIA, Calif. – Damion Gardner scored his third victory of the season with the AMSOIL USAC/CRA Sprint Car Series Saturday night at Santa Maria Raceway.
Driving Mark Alexander’s No. 4, Gardner started third and took command from Chris Gansen on the 10th lap en route to the victory ahead of Austin Williams.
Jake Swanson, Max Adams and Charles Davis Jr. completed the top-five in the 30-lap feature.
The victory was enough for Gardner to claim the California Sprint Week championship by one point over Williams.
Williams set fast time over the 19-car field with a 13.388-second lap. Heats were won by Steve Hix, Ryan Bernal and Davis.
