DUQUOIN, Ill. – Daniel Robinson’s big night inside the Southern Illinois Center at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds truly had it all during a rare midweek indoor appearance Wednesday.
The Ewing, Ill., racer captured not one but two features, highlighted by both an Outlaw Non-Winged Micro Sprint victory as well as the USAC Midwest Regional Midget non-point special event feature triumph, which he dominated from the pole in his McCreery Motorsports/The Barn Bar – Chemstream Race Fuels/Triple X/Stanton SR-11x.
Robinson defeated all challengers during the 30-lap distance and was followed to the line by Joe B. Miller, Jerry Coons Jr. and Rylan Gray.
Rounding out the top-five was Chett Gehrke, the USAC Midwest Regional Midget point leader who won twice inside the Southern Illinois Center in February with the USAC Midwest Thunder SpeeD2 Midgets.
Brayton Lynch (Springfield, Ill.), Gray and Jake Neuman (New Berlin, Ill.) won each of the three heat races.
