Pursley Returning To Keith Kunz Motorsports

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Fresh off his rookie season in a midget, Daison Pursley will return to Keith Kunz Motorsport for his sophomore season.

Fifteen-year-old Pursley, who raced full-time with the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League this year in a Kunz-prepared car, will shift his focus to the USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midget Series in 2020.

“Daison showed us a lot of potential this year, in the car and out of it,” said team owner Keith Kunz. “The kid got thrown to the wolves at the start of the season and he adapted quickly on the fly. He’s already improved so much since we started this journey and he’ll gain a lot more ground with all the racing next year.”

Pursley, who finished fourth in the POWRi standings this year after two runner-up finishes, will also compete in a majority of the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League events next season in addition to his USAC schedule.

“This is really a dream come true to chase a USAC Midget championship with Keith Kunz and Toyota,” said Pursley. “This year threw me a big learning curve adjusting from micros to midgets, but Keith, Pete and the entire KKM crew made it easy in teaching me so much. I can’t wait to hit the road next year and visit so many new tracks.”
