PERRIS, Calif. — Damion Gardner is now four-for-four in AMSOIL USAC-CRA Sprint Car Series competition this season.
After sweeping three events at Arizona’s Cocopah Speedway in January, Gardner romped to a dominant victory in Saturday’s So-Cal Showdown at Perris Auto Speedway.
Driving the familiar Alexander No. 1 sprint car, Gardner took the lead from Charles Davis Jr. on lap 12 and led the remainder of the 30-lap event on the half-mile dirt track.
Fast-qualifier Matt Mitchell finished second, with Cody Williams, Austin Williams and Davis rounding out the top five.
