SOMERTON, Ariz. — Charles Davis Jr. was declared the winner when rain ended Saturday’s USAC-CRA Sprint Car Series feature after 20 laps at Cocopah Speedway.
Davis took the lead on lap four of the three-eighths-mile dirt track and was out front when rain brought the event to a premature conclusion.
Ricky Lewis, who led the first three laps, finished second.
R.J. Johnson, Matt Westfall and A.J. Bender completed the top five.
Tommy Malcolm was the fast qualifier.
