Bill Gardner Sprintacular Top Prize Boosted To $7,000

PUTNAMVILLE, Ind. – The Saturday night finale of the Bill Gardner Sprintacular will feature its biggest payout yet.

USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series competitors will battle for a $7,000 to prize, with $600 just to start the feature, during a 40-lap main event at Lincoln Park Speedway on July 3.

The seventh annual Bill Gardner Sprintacular features two consecutive nights of USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series racing on July 2-3 at the five-sixteenths-mile dirt oval, with Friday night paying $5,000 to win and $500 to start and Saturday night paying an elevated $7,000 winner’s share and $600 to start.

The boosted purse for the Bill Gardner Sprintacular becomes the latest event on the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series with a larger payout, joining the Winter Dirt Games at Florida’s Bubba Raceway Park ($10,000); a brand-new Keystone Invasion tour of Pennsylvania in April with four consecutive $6,000-to-win shows; back-to-back $10,000-to-win events in May at Ohio’s Eldora Speedway; and a pair of $6,000 and $7,500 events at Kansas’ Lakeside Speedway, which were ultimately rained out.

Events later this season featuring an increase in pay include the Aug. 26-28 Sprint Car Smackdown finale at Indiana’s Kokomo Speedway, paying $15,000-to-win and $1,500-to-start; the Huset’s Speedway USAC Nationals in South Dakota Sept. 10-12, which pays $20,000 to the final night’s winner; as well as a $12,500 prize for the victor of the Haubstadt Hustler on Sept. 18 at Tri-State Speedway.

This weekend’s Bill Gardner Sprintacular at Lincoln Park Speedway will feature the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Car Series and will be co-sanctioned by the Midwest Sprint Car Series. Modifieds, Super Stocks and Bombers will fill out the event card.

Friday’s Bill Gardner Sprintacular event will utilize the MSCS format, which features group qualifying as well as an H15 or Medium on the right rear and concludes with a 30-lap feature. Saturday’s show will use the standard USAC format of single-car qualifying to seed the starting lineups leading up to the night’s 40-lap feature race.

Past winners of the Bill Gardner Sprintacular include Jerry Coons Jr. (2015 USAC); Robert Ballou (2015 MSCS, 2016 USAC); Thomas Meseraull (2016 MSCS); Kevin Thomas Jr. (2017 MSCS); Tyler Courtney (2018 USAC); Justin Grant (2018 MSCS); Kyle Cummins (2019 MSCS); Shane Cottle (2020 USAC/MSCS); and Brady Bacon (2020 USAC/MSCS).
