Wiedeman Joins KKM For Select Midget Events

COLUMBUS, Ind. – Bryant Wiedeman, a current contender on the POWRi Outlaw Micro Sprint trail, will join Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports for a limited midget schedule later this season.

“We met with Bryant at Chili Bowl last year and felt like now was the time to get him some laps in the midget after following his progress last season in the micro sprints,” noted Kunz. “He showed improvement each night, so we’re excited to go racing with him and see what he can do with this new challenge.”

A graduate of the karting ranks, Wiedeman amassed hundreds of wins and several championship titles before moving into a micro sprint in 2019.

At 13 years old, the Colby, Kan., native finished eighth in POWRi Micro points last season and earned the Most Improved Driver award.

“Ever since racing became my passion, I knew my goal was to join KKM and Toyota Racing, so this is definitely a dream come true for me,” said Wiedeman. “Obviously our goal is to earn a full schedule in 2021, but right now my focus is to take this one step at a time and show what I can do with a limited schedule this year.”

Scheduled to compete in a handful of midget races this fall, Wiedeman’s KKM debut is set for Friday, Sept. 11 with the POWRi National Midget League at Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway.

Other events at Spoon River Speedway, Fairbury American Legion Speedway, Wayne County Speedway, Tri-State Speedway and Creek County Speedway are also on Wiedeman’s calendar as well.
