Snyder Romps To POWRi Micro Triumph

NEWMANSTOWN, Pa. — Steven Snyder Jr. enjoyed a near perfect evening on night one of the Keith Kunz Motorsports Challenge event for the POWRi non-Winged Outlaw Micro League at Clyde Martin Memorial Speedway.

It was Snyder’s seventh career victory with the series.

Snyder, the fast qualifier and high-point man, started on the pole, with Thomas Kunsman Jr. alongside.

Snyder grabbed the lead on the opening lap, but went to the work area with mechanical issues on the second lap.

Kunsman set the pace, while Snyder battled through traffic from the back of the field.

Snyder used a restart on lap 13 to regain the lead and from there, he dominated the remainder of the event.

“I don’t know what happened early, everything just kind of shut off down the backstretch, I’m just grateful for this team for giving me a bad fast car and all of the support,” said Snyder. “I knew we had a very comfortable car and could drive where other drivers couldn’t run, I’m honestly just as shocked as anyone to be here after the work area trip.”

James Roselli romped from 10th to finish second, while Kunzman rounded out the podium.

Charging from 16th, saw Brent Shearer finish fourth, with Kole Kirkman fifth.
