SWEET SPRINGS, Mo. – Daison Pursley finished off the Fall Brawl Weekend at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex with a trip to victory lane Saturday with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League.
Pursley won his heat race and was the high point man, giving him the pole for the 30-lap feature.Â
Pursley got the early jump on his teammate, Buddy Kofoid, who followed him in second. Early cautions slowed the action, but Pursley remained in control until a red flag for an incident involving Taylor Reimer stopped the action with 11 laps complete.
During the restart Kofoid tried to pull a slider on Pursley, who persevered and remained out front. Behind them Bryant Wiedeman and Kaylee Bryson traded third until Byrson bobbled on the cushion in turn four and came to a stop to bring out the caution.Â
Following the restart Pursley gapped the field and rolled to his fourth POWRi victory of the season. Kofoid, Andrew Felker, Wiedeman and Jace Park completed the top-five.
Willie Urish won the companion Lucas Oil POWRi 600cc Micro Sprint League feature.
