POWRi West Midget Slate Features 28 Races

BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Featuring premier midget racing across multiple state swings while staying close to their Oklahoma roots, the Lucas Oil POWRi West Midget League presented by Realty Connect will travel to 10 venues as part of a 28-race schedule.

The West Midget League will join forces with the Lucas Oil POWRi National Midgets throughout the year as well as increased promotions at select events with the newly created Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series.

The POWRi National and West Leagues will open the season with four straight days of midget action during the eighth annual Turnpike Challenge. Starting at Port City Raceway for practice on Wednesday, March 23, the season will officially begin on Thursday, March 24. Both POWRi Leagues will conclude the Turnpike Challenge with two days at Oklahoma City’s I-44 Riverside Speedway on March 25-26.

Other highlighted dates on the schedule include Thunder in the Valley Weekend, which includes visits to Valley Speedway on July 16-17 and a trip to Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex on July 18.

There are seven race dates at I-44 Riverside Speedway, four at Port City Raceway, four at Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55, three at Valley Speedway, three at Sweet Springs Motorsports Complex, weekend stays at Creek County Speedway and Lake Ozark Speedway and single shows at Lucas Oil Speedway and Arrowhead Speedway.

The season will end with Sooner SPEEDWeek, which includes the third annual Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner State 55 at Port City Raceway on Oct. 13, the Meents Memorial at I-44 Riverside Speedway on Oct. 14-15, and Arrowhead Speedway on Oct. 16.
