Kaiser Notches First POWRi Micro League Score

LINCOLN, Ill. – Shain Kaiser rode the bottom around Lincoln Speedway to capture his first Lucas Oil POWRi 600cc Micro Sprint League Presented by Engler Machine & Tool victory Thursday evening.

Kaiser started off night two of POWRi Illinois Speedweek by earning AFCO High Point Man honors after the heat races. Kaiser started on the pole of the 15-lap main event, with Bradley Fezard to his outside.

When the green flag waved Kaiser hook the bottom and led the field around the tricky track.

After a few late-race cautions, Kaiser overcame the competition and captured his first  victory with the POWRi 600cc Micro Sprint League. Aaron Andruskevitch followed him to the line in second, Tyler Kuykendall came home in third, Fezard was fourth and Xavier Doney finished fifth.

“I knew I had to make up for last night. The car felt great, the Driven Midwest car was just on rails all night,” said Kaiser. “I can’t thank everyone enough who stands behind me.”
