Boschele Set For Lake Ozark POWRi Debut With KKM

ELDON, Mo. — Thirteen-year-old Gavan Boschele, a standout in outlaw karts and micro sprints from Mooresville, N.C., will make his Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League debut this weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway.

Boschele, who is coming off a Patriot Shootout performance at North Carolina’s Millbridge Speedway in a micro sprint where he led 32 laps before being sidelined with a mechanical issue, will compete for Keith Kunz/Curb-Agajanian Motorsports May 29-30 in the two-day Sprint & Midget Nationals.

It will be Boschele’s first time competing at the third-mile dirt oval. He plans to contest the remainder of the POWRi midget schedule with the team owned by industry veteran Keith Kunz.

“I’m really excited to get this next step in my career started and I’m even more excited to do it with the entire KKM team and the support of Motorsport Games and Traxion,” said Boschele, who has raced with KKM’s micro sprint program in select races this year. “Motorsport Games is a huge support system for me and for my racing career and I’m looking forward to representing their brand on a national stage.

“Keith and I had some success together already in micros so, hopefully, we can carry that speed over into the midget,” Boschele added. “My immediate goal will be to try to get comfortable in these new cars as quickly as possible. I know that there will be a learning curve, and it will take time, but I’m going to work hard, learn as much as I can, lean on the team and trust the process.”

Motorsport Games, the developer and publisher of the NASCAR Heat video game franchise, will serve as Boschele’s primary sponsor. It adds to the brand’s support of Boschele, which began last November.

Traxion, a collective of racing, esports and gaming enthusiasts, will provide associate branding on the car, which will carry Boschele’s familiar No. 5.

“Everyone at Motorsport Games has believed in Gavan since our first introduction to him and we knew we wanted to have a long-term partnership,” said George Holmquist, vice president of marketing and publishing for Motorsport Games. “His talent behind the wheel and ability to learn and adapt, as well as how he handles himself off the race track, has proven he has a bright future in motorsports.

“We are thrilled to have Gavan compete on the national stage with the support of KKM less than a year into our multi-year partnership.”
