BELLEVILLE, Ill. – Officials from POWRi have revealed that NASCAR Cup Series rookie Christopher Bell is set to take part in the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner-State 55 this Thursday at Oklahoma’s Port City Raceway.
Bell, an Oklahoma native, will be chasing the $5,555 top prize while enduring 55 laps around the eighth-mile bullring.
The last time Bell raced with the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League was in June of 2019. Bell drive the No. 84 Tucker-Boat Motorsports entry to victory lane that night at Lincoln (Ill.) Speedway.
Bell considers Port City Raceway his home track. His last visit to the venue came in March of 2019, where Bell was beat at the checkered flag in a photo finish with Jonathan Beason.
The Donnie Ray Crawford Sooner-State 55 is part of a three-race weekend for the POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget League. Following Thursday’s event, the tour will visit I-44 Riverside Speedway in Oklahoma City, Okla., to wrap up the season for the tour.
Bell is only scheduled to be in attendance on Thursday at Port City Raceway.
