Another POWRi Score For McIntosh

MACON, Ill. — Cannon McIntosh would not hesitate in capturing his ninth Lucas Oil POWRi National Midget League victory of the season Saturday night at Macon Speedway.

McIntosh conquered the annual Camfield Memorial at the fifth-mile track for his third straight victory and his 15th career POWRi triumph.

Setting the field of 21 competitors would find high point qualifier and polesitter McIntosh lineup with Ryan Timms on the front row as McIntosh would use a mid-to-high-side momentum on the opening lap to take the early racing lead.

Holding steady out front all event, McIntosh would not be denied in the event by leading all revolutions around the speedy surface of Macon Speedway with Timms, Brenham Crouch, Taylor Reimer, and Chase McDermand all staying within the top five.

“The car was on a rail tonight, the team prepared a fast ride for sure. I can’t thank everybody enough, I am really fortunate to be able to pick up wins for such a great group,” McIntosh said.

Timms maintained a solid showing to finish runner-up as Crouch would notch a second straight night of completing the features podium placements. 

Taylor Reimer and Bryant Wiedeman rounded out the top five.

Jeremy Camp won the micro sprint feature, Jacob Steinkoenig topped the modified main event and Guy Taylor won in the pro mods.
