WILMOT, Wis. – The AutoMeter Wisconsin Wingless Sprint Series has set an ambitious schedule for this season, featuring 33 events, including a pair of two-day weekends.
The series runs under IRA sanction and is based on a two engine option, with both GM604 and built options available.
Wilmot Raceway will be the primary home of the series, though it will also compete at seven other venues.
The series point race kicks off at Wilmot on May 1 and runs through September, with a pair of IRA-sanctioned, non-point weekends in early October as well.
New venues on the schedule include The Dirt Oval at Route 66 in Joliet, Ill., as the series runs in a supporting role on May 15 with the All Star/IRA co-sanctioned 410 sprint car event.
Gravity Park USA in Chilton, Wis., will host the series on Friday, July 16, kicking off a trio of events that weekend. A popular Indiana venue will include the group in an event on Oct 8-9 that will have more details released at a later date.
Beaver Dam Raceway, Angell Park Speedway, 141 Speedway, the Dodge County Fairgrounds and the Plymouth Dirt Track will also host Wisconsin Wingless events this year.
