LOGANSPORT, Ind. — The second annual Wingless A-Class Clash is set for this weekend, May 12-14 at U.S. 24 Speedway.
Nearly 80 A-Class micro sprints will take on the one-eighth-mile, slightly banked dirt oval with some of the division’s best full-time competitors being joined by outsiders, including NASCAR Xfinity Series regulars Brett Moffitt and Sheldon Creed.
All three nights will be broadcast live by SPEED SPORT affiliate, Dirt2Media.tv, which also offers weekly coverage of micro sprints.
The 600cc A-Class non-winged weekend starts Thursday, with a $1,000-to-win race, where the top three in the feature will be locked into Saturday’s main event.
On Friday, $1,000-to-win is on the line again, with the top three spots up for grabs to secure a spot in the feature for Saturday.
Then on Saturday, the winner’s prize is $10,000, while each entry earns $500 to start.
Frank Flud, one of the winningest micro sprint drivers in the country in recent years, is entered in his familiar No. 81. Cale Coons, Chelby Hinton and Tyler Smith are also among the 79 drivers pre-entered in the event.
Last year, Daison Pursley and Brian Carber won preliminary night features, with Pursley topping Saturday’s main event.
