Wilson Joining All Stars For Attica Spring Nationals

BENTON RIDGE, Ohio — Greg Wilson will kick off his season in his home state of Ohio this weekend when he joins the Tezos All Star Circuit of Champions at Attica Raceway Park.

“Ultimately, the first goal is to make the main event both nights and try to be competitive,” Wilson said. “Beyond that, at the end of last year we were rolling pretty well so I feel we should be going there to win this weekend. However, you can’t win them if you’re not in them. We feel pretty good come feature-time as long as we can get through the early part of each night.”

Wilson and the Hercules Tires, Ohio Logistics and DNC Hydraulics backed Seeling Motorsports team made seven starts in February, garnering one top five and a pair of top-10 finishes all in the state of Florida.

“I’m pretty excited to just get back racing because it’s been a while,” Wilson said. “I feel like we came home after Florida and hit the reset. We made a few adjustments more along the lines of what we finished last year with and I’m hoping that our mid to late season success will spill over as far as our performances racing back here in Ohio.”

Attica Raceway Park is a comfortable track for Wilson, who ranks fifth in career 410ci winged sprint car victories with 19 at the dirt oval. Wilson was a Spring Nationals winner in 2002, 2003 and 2006.

“I’ve always liked Attica and we’ve been pretty successful there,” he said. “It’s nice to race on tracks you’re familiar with and you’ve had success at. If nothing else that gives you confidence. There’s probably not a much better place for a first weekend up this way than Attica.”
