ATLANTA – The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour presented by K&N Filters winged sprint cars are set to kick off the upcoming season with the fifth annual USCS Winter Heat miniseries.
The miniseries consists of 12 races at six venues during six weekends in four southern states. The series will have at least a $5,000 point fund available to competitors, with additional details expected to be announced in December.
The series will begin with the USCS Snow Free Winter Nationals on Feb. 4-5 at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Fla. The series then heads to Georgia’s Needmore Speedway on Feb. 11-12 for rounds three and four of the series.
After a weekend off, the tour will then travel back to Florida to compete at Southern Raceway in Milton, Fla., on Feb. 25-26. The following weekend racers will head to Hattiesburg (Miss.) Speedway on March 4-5 as part of the fifth annual Hub City 200 event.
Next up will be a trip to Deep South Speedway in Loxely, Ala., on March 11-12 for the USCS Gulf Coast Sprint Car Winter Nationals. The USCS Winter Heat miniseries will come to a close on March 18-19 when the series invades North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Ala., for the fifth annual USCS Shoals Shootout.
