TULARE, Calif. – This year’s point fund for the Trophy Cup at Thunderbowl Raceway featured $81,500, which was in addition to the three-night racing purse.Â
Most drivers who raced in Saturday’s main event are guaranteed $5,000 for three days of racing, with many drivers also receiving an extra payout to reach that amount.Â
Trophy Cup champion Buddy Kofoid received $20,800 for finishes of first, second and fourth in the three main events, which includes $13,000 for being the top point earner. He received an additional $6,200 to allow him to reach the guaranteed $27,000 payout.Â
The total paid each year varies based on how much additional is needed to reach the guaranteed payouts. This year an extra $30,430 was paid out in addition to the advertised purse and point fund. Â
The payout for the top-five drivers is:

2. Colby Copeland – $13,100
3. D.J. Netto – $11,600
4. Corey Day – $9,100
5. Tanner Carrick – $7,800Â
