Timms Romps From 14th In East Bay Sprint

GIBSONTON, Fla. — Teenager Ryan Timms turned in a sizzling performance in winning the Ronald Laney Memorial on the final night of the King of the 360s at East Bay Raceway Park.

In what was the final running of the event, as the track will close at the end of the season, Timms charged from 14th on the starting grid to win the 40-lap race on the third-mile dirt track.

Timms held off veteran Tim Shaffer who started outside the front row.

Austin McCarl finished third, with Danny Sams III and Aaron Reutzel rounding out the top five.

Jimmy Wills won the mod lite feature.
