MOORESVILLE, N.C. – As the sprint car racing world converges on Knoxville, Iowa, for the 60th annual NOS Energy Drink Knoxville Nationals, Brad Sweet continues to lead the National Sprint Car Rankings.
Sweet, who won the Knoxville Nationals in 2018, has won 15 winged sprint car features this season and has an average finish of 3.840 in 56 starts for Kasey Kahne Racing with Mike Curb.
Carson Macedo ranks second with a 4.220 average finish in 59 starts aboard the Jason Johnson Racing No. 41.
World of Outlaws regulars Donny Schatz and David Gravel rank third and fourth, with NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson, who has made 20 sprint car starts, rounding out the top five.
One hundred and seven drivers have made the 20 starts required to qualify for the National Sprint Car Rankings and 19 have reached the 50-start plateau to begin dropping their worst finishes.
Lance Dewease leads the Eastern region standings and Dominic Scelzi heads the Western region.
Sweet and Kyle Bellm are tied at the top of the Mid-America region standings. D.J. Foos is the top dog in the Great Lakes region.
Wade Nygaard has taken a four-point edge over Justin Henderson in the Great Plains region.
Brandon Matus leads the PA-OH region.
One hundred and 42 drivers have combined to win the 336 features run.
