MOORESVILLE, N.C. –Â With his average finish dipping below the third-place mark, World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series point leader Brad Sweet continues to lead the National Sprint Car Rankings.
Sweet, who picked up his 17th victory of the season Saturday night at Washington’s Skagit Speedway, has an average finish of 2.961 in 66 races as he heads to his home state of California this weekend.
Carson Macedo, who won Sunday night’s Skagit Nationals, holds down the second spot with an average finish of 3.929 in 71 starts.
David Gravel jumps ahead of Donny Schatz into third this week, while Dominic Scelzi rounds out the top five.
One hundred and 31 drivers have made the 20 starts required to qualify for the National Sprint Car Rankings.
Lance Dewease (Eastern), Dominic Scelzi (Western), Kyle Bellm (Mid-America), D.J. Foos (Great Lakes), Brendan Mullen (Great Plains), Brandon Matus (PA-OH) and James McFadden (Northwest) are the regional leaders.
One hundred and 56 drivers have combined to win the 415 features run.
