Sean Becker Lands KWS & SCCT Rides In California

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Sean Becker has reached a deal to drive the Vertullo Motorsports No. 83v entry in pursuit of his second NARC-King of the West Sprint Car Series championship.

In addition, Becker will again return to the helm of the No. 88n Monhoff Racing entry for the full Sprint Car Challenge Tour slate.

“I am really grateful that Dave Vertullo is giving me the opportunity to run the full King of the West Series schedule,” Becker said. “It has always been the series I wish I could be a part of.”

Though he hasn’t ran the full KWS schedule since 2014, Becker has still found great success in 410 competition, including a streak of five consecutive 410 sprint car track championships at Silver Dollar Speedway in Chico, Calif., from 2012-16.

Becker also took a World of Outlaws win during the Gold Cup Race of Champions in 2012.

While Becker and Vertullo Motorsports will set their focus on the 20-race KWS slate, their tentative plan will be to fill their schedule in with marquee 360ci events around the Golden State.

“I am also looking forward to running so additional 360ci shows with Vertullo Motorsports as well when our schedule allows,” Becker added. “Dave has always prepared cars capable of winning over the years, and I am extremely excited to get the season started.”

Becker is equally as happy to make another full commitment to the Sprint Car Challenge Tour in the year ahead, chasing his first series title back in the familiar Monhoff Racing machine.

“It’s equally as exciting to challenge for the SCCT title as well with Dan Monhoff,” Becker said. “No matter where we have gone, we have had a lot of speed the last few years and I know we will be able to compete for wins and a championship.”
