BRADFORD, Vt. — The McGee Automotive Family Sprint Cars of New England Tour will have to wait one more day to race at Bear Ridge Speedway.
Persistent rains on Saturday have forced racing to be postponed to Sunday, June 30, with an earlier start time of 5 p.m.
Sunday’s event will be the second of five races for the new Green Mountain Gear-Heads Championship Series presented by Hull Motorsports. The race pays $1,000 to win, and the mini-series champion will earn a $500 bonus at the end of the season.
North Granby, Conn.’s Scott Holcomb won the opening round of the Green Mountain Gear-Heads Championship Series presented by Hull Motorsports on May 25 and leads the series point standings over Troy Comeau, Jake Williams, Chase Moran and Floyd Billington. Holcomb is also tied with Moran for the overall McGee SCoNE Tour championship lead.
