Red Dirt Spring Fling Finale Goes To Kent

BRISTOW, Okla. — A solid group of 39 entries made their way to Red Dirt Raceway for the conclusion of the 7th Annual Spring Nationals.

After experiencing an ignition box issue during the season opener, reigning champion Johnny Kent came out swinging on night two. Picking up the win in heat race two, Kent found himself starting on the third row outside. It wouldn’t take long for Kent to make his way to the lead point.

Three laps in, Kent would lead the field and walk away to win his first feature of the season with a four-second advantage over second-place
finisher Joe Bob Lee.

Danny Smith would finish third, with Jeremy Hush and Rees Moran rounding out the top five. Sheldon Barksdale would receive hard charger honors for the night, advancing ten positions to finish sixth.
