ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — Freddie Rahmer has owned sprint car competition this season and Thursday night’s PA Sprint Speedweek event was no different.
Rahmer led all 30 laps for his first victory of this year’s Speedweek, but his seventh triumph of the season at the three-eighths-mile track.
Rahmer held off series point leader Anthony Macri and Brent Marks on several late race restarts. While Rahmer cruised across the finish line, Macri edged Marks for second by less than a car length.
Justin Peck and T.J. Stutts rounded out the top five.
Rahmer was the fast qualifier for the 34-car field with a 13.129-second lap.
Macri leads Rahmer by 106 points with three Speedweek races remaining.
