ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. — Freddie Rahmer put on a show Saturday afternoon at Lincoln Speedway.
Starting the 30-lap winged sprint car feature from 15th on the grid, Rahmer used multiple caution flags during the first half of the race to work his way toward the front and came on strong down the stretch to win his second feature in three events at the three-eighths-mile track this season.
Danny Dietrich took the lead from outside the front row and led the first 27 laps before Rahmer slid past on lap 28. The pair traded slide jobs during the final three circuits with Rahmer pulling away for the $5,000 triumph.
It was Rahmer’s 26th career victory at Lincoln.
“There were a lot of yellows and stuff happened. By lap 13th we were seventh and I thought we could run second,” Rahmer said. “That was good hard racing with Danny there at the end of the race.”
Dietrich finished second, with Alan Krimes, Tim Wagaman and Chad Trout rounding out the top five.
