National Sprint Rankings: Courtney Fights Back

Tyler Courtney, a recent winner at Kokomo (Ind.) Speedway with High Limit Racing, has moved to the top of the National Sprint Car Rankings.

The driver of the Clauson Marshall Racing No. 7bc is the best of the 29 drivers who have made the mandatory 20 starts to be eligible for the national rankings.

Courtney has an average finish of 4.480 in 25 starts this season, inching ahead of fellow High Limit racer Brad Sweet, who has an average finish of4.696 in 23 races.

World of Outlaws point leader David Gravel is third with an average finish of 5.250 in 24 races. Carson Macedo and Donny Schatz round out the top five.

With a pair of victories, including a $75,000 triumph in the Bob Weikert Memorial, over the weekend, Danny Dietrich has moved to the top of the Eastern region standings.

Sean Becker, meanwhile, has taken command of the Western region standings.

Courtney leads the Mid-America region and Cale Thomas, who won Friday at Attica Raceway Park, tops the Great Lakes region. 

Aaron Reutzel controls the Great Plains standings. A.J. Flick sets the pace in the PA-OH region and Trey Starks holds the top spot in the Northwestern standings.

Gravel leads the nation with eight victories.

Seventy-seven drivers have won the 130 features run so far this season.
