Mod Man Wight Controls ESS Sprint

BREWERTON, N.Y. — The Lucas Oil Super Sprints stopped at Brewerton Speedway for round two of Central New York Speedweek and modified kingpin Larry Wight came away with the top prize.

Wight won the 25-lap Don Gillette Memorial on the quarter-mile dirt track, outrunning Matt Tanner for the victory.

Sammy Reakes, Danny Varin and Dylan Swiernik rounded out the top five.

Michael Maresca held off Jimmy Phelps to win the 35-lap big-block modified feature.

Chris Mackey won the sportsman headline and Chris Bonoffski topped the four-cylinder main event.
