Macri Vaults To Eastern Point, Five Regions Open In Sprint Rankings

Five regions have now begun 410 winged sprint car competition this season and several drivers are rapidly approaching the 20 starts required to launch the annual National Sprint Car Rankings.

The Eastern region remains the most active area of the country. Anthony Macri has moved to the top of the Eastern region rankings, as 20 events have been run. Macri has 633 points in 16 starts, putting him ahead of Justin Peck, who has made 13 or his 15 starts in the Eastern region, by 33 points.

Sheldon Haudenschild leads the Mid-America region by two points over Carson Macedo. Cap Henry leads the Great Lakes region.

Brad Sweet is on top in the Western region and Parker Price-Miller leads the Great Plains region.

Twenty-five drivers have combined to win the 34 features run so far this season. David Gravel and Sweet have each won three main events.
