BRIDGEPORT, N.J. — Anthony Macri won his third consecutive 410 winged sprint car feature Wednesday night at Bridgeport Motorsports Park, but he did it in unconventional fashion.
Macri was chasing leader Brent Marks through lapped traffic on the final lap when Marks’ No. 19 sprint car lost power. Macri ran into the back of Marks’ machine and spun his No. 39 360 degrees, but kept the car under power.
Macri led the final lap and banked $7,500 after Marks had led the first 29 circuits of the Invasion of the Posse main event. It was Macri’s fifth victory of the season.
Kyle Reinhardt finished second, with Justin Peck, Christopher Bell and Freddie Rahmer rounding out the top five.
Bell finished fourth despite not running a qualifying lap because of an early-night engine change.
