Macri Puts A Lid On PA Speedweek

PORT ROYAL, Pa. — Anthony Macri put a lid on PA Sprint Speedweek, wrapping up the series championship with an impressive victory in Tuesday’s series finale at Port Royal Speedway.

Macri took the lead from Logan Wagner on lap 15 and paced the remainder of the 30-lap event on the half-mile track for his third victory of the rain-plagued nearly two-week series.

Macri took the checkered flag ahead of Wagner and his father, Mike Wagner, in the event that was scheduled for Monday but postponed by rain.

Brent Marks finished fourth, with Justin Peck fifth.

Sixth-place finisher Lance Dewease was the fast qualifier with a lap of 16.142 seconds.
