PORT ROYAL, Pa. — Anthony Macri started outside the front row and romped to victory in Sunday afternoon’s winged sprint car feature at Port Royal Speedway.
It was Macri’s second victory of the season, but his first of the year at the half-mile dirt track at the Juniata County Fairgrounds.
The win was Macri’s 12th career triumph at Port Royal and moved him into a tie for 31st on the career win list at the speedway with Bobby Davis Jr., Bobby Weaver, Marks, Don Kreitz Jr. and Lucas Wolfe.
“I can’t thank all my guys enough. They busted their butts all night and every one of them stayed in the shop until 3 a.m. to be here and ready,” said Macri. “I didn’t really think we were the best early and I just kind of had to stay with it and keep working with the wing.”
Brent Marks, who won Saturday night at Lincoln Speedway, finished second.
Gerard McIntyre, Danny Dietrich and Lucas Wolfe rounded out the top five.
Colten Flinner won the late model feature, while Ryan Godown topped the Short Track Super Series modified headliner.
